If you’re looking for an Eastern NC getaway, come and enjoy the peaceful and serene surroundings of Long Creek RV Park.  We are located between Havelock NC and Beaufort NC, and just off the Neuse River. Our campground features amenities such as a fishing dock, laundry facility, covered pavilion, and heated bathhouse. We are just a short drive from deep water access and the beautiful Atlantic Beach.

If you enjoy bird watching, then you’ll be pleased to know that Eastern NC boasts a wide variety of beautiful and unique birds to see. When you come to stay with us at Long Creek RV Park, be sure to bring your binoculars so you can scope out all of the beautiful birds on and around our campground. 

If you want to view some coastal birds, Atlantic Beach is just a short drive away. Some birds that are native to the Atlantic Beach area include a variety of woodpeckers, including the Red-bellied Woodpecker and the Red Cockaded Woodpecker. If you’re on the beach, you might spot the rare and elusive Piping Plover; keep an eye out because they easily blend in with their surroundings on the beach. If you head to the marshes in the area, you might see the Clapper Rail, which is a large and beautiful bird.

The Croatan Forest is also nearby and is another great spot for bird watching. Some birds you might see while visiting this area include the Acadian Flycatcher, Worm-eating Warbler, Great Blue Herons, and Brown Creepers, just to name a few. In addition, Lake Ellis Simon within the forest is home to NC’s largest nesting colony of Double-crested Cormorants!

If you want to stay on the campground, there are still plenty of birds to see! Eastern NC is home to many delightful and unique birds, including the Brown-headed Nuthatch, Prothonotary Warbler, and the strikingly colorful Painted Bunting.
